It delivers 48 UPOE copper ports — 12 of which support MultiGigabit speeds up to 10G, with the remaining 36 providing standard Gigabit Ethernet — alongside four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks for high-bandwidth fiber connectivity to your distribution or core layer. Shipping with a 1100W AC power supply, it provides a default 675W PoE budget that can be expanded with a second power supply.
Running Cisco IOS XE with the Network Essentials license, the C9300L-48UXG-4X-E supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding, hardware-based ACLs, QoS, and integrated security features such as 802.1X, DHCP Snooping, and TrustSec. Optional StackWise-320 stacking enables up to eight C9300L switches to operate as a single logical device with up to 320 Gbps of stacking bandwidth, dramatically simplifying management and improving resiliency. Stacking: Requires the optional C9300L-STACK-KIT (two stack adapters + one stacking cable). Compatible stacking cables: STACK-T3-50CM (default), STACK-T3-1M, STACK-T3-3M. C9300L models can only stack with other C9300L models — they cannot be stacked with modular uplink C9300/C9300X SKUs or older Catalyst 3850/3650 Series switches.
Power Supplies: Ships with one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P. The switch has two PSU slots; a second power supply can be added for redundancy and expanded PoE budget. Compatible PSU options: PWR-C1-350WAC-P, PWR-C1-715WAC-P, PWR-C1-1100WAC-P.
Optics (Uplinks): The 4x 10G SFP+ uplink slots accept Cisco 10G SFP+ transceivers (e.g., SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-LRM, SFP-H10GB-CU1M/3M/5M).
