The Cisco C6800-8P40G is a line card module designed for the Cisco Catalyst 6800 Series Switches. It provides 8 ports of 40 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 16 ports of 10 GbE connectivity. The module supports high-density, high-performance data center and campus network deployments. It offers advanced features such as Virtual Switching System (VSS) technology, Cisco TrustSec, and Cisco Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP). The C6800-8P40G is hot-swappable and can be easily inserted or removed from the switch chassis.
